A binary version of HL:demo is available from SourceForge.
Two versions exist for Intel x86 computers: one for Windows with Cygwin, one for Linux. The Windows version assumes that cygwin1.dll can be found, and the Linux version libc. In either case, two files are needed: the binary file and a file with signatures (syntax).
Both must be installed in the same directory.
The interpreter reads just one expression and interprets it, so the following pattern for a script conveniently implements a conventional read-eval-print loop:
A command end (terminated by semicolon) stops the loop.
The two files for installation comes in a compressed tar-file. Uncompress the Windows/Cygwin version with tar xjf ..., the other with tar xzf ....
